The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it really is alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach here Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The company place made for intervention activities a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
